How is KolaboFort different from Jiji or Instagram?
On other platforms, you pay and “hope” for the best. On KolaboFort:
- Every vendor is KYC-verified.
- Money is held in Escrow (we don’t pay the vendor until you are happy).
- We have a Dispute Resolution team to fight for you if things go wrong.

Is KolaboFort free to use?
Creating a user account and browsing the marketplace is free. Certain actions—such as becoming a vendor, or listing many services—may involve fees.
How does KolaboFort ensure trust and safety?
KolaboFort uses identity verification (KYC), reviews and ratings, secure payments, and an escrow-style payment system to protect both buyers and vendors.
How do I create an account?
Simply sign up using your email address or supported login methods, complete your profile, and verify your email to start using KolaboFort.
Do I need to verify my account?
Yes. Verification helps maintain trust on the platform and may be required to access certain features, especially vendor-related tools and withdrawals.
Can I have both a buyer and vendor account?
You only need one KolaboFort account. The same account can be used to buy services and, once verified, sell as a vendor.
What should I do if I forget my password?
Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password securely.
How do I find services or products?
You can browse categories, search by keywords, or explore featured vendors and listings on the marketplace.
How do I know a Vendor is legit?
All our vendors are veirifed against their NIN and phone number. You can also read real reviews from previous clients on their profile.
Can I request a custom service?
Yes. KolaboFort allows users to post custom requests with details and a budget. Vendors can then place bids with their proposals for you to review and choose from.
How do payments work?
Payments are made through KolaboFort and held securely until the service is delivered or the product is confirmed. This protects both you and the vendor. If the vendor doesn’t show up, the money is refunded.
What if the vendor does a poor job?
Do not click “Confirm Completion.” Instead, hit the Dispute button. Our team will review your chat logs and proof of work to ensure a fair resolution or a refund.
Is it safe to invite a vendor to my house?
While we verify IDs, we always recommend following our “Safety Briefing”: confirm the vendor’s face matches their profile picture and ensure the job is logged in the KolaboFort chat for tracking.
Can I review a vendor?
Yes. After a transaction is completed, you can leave a rating and review to help other users make informed decisions.
Who can become a vendor on KolaboFort?
Freelancers, professionals, creatives, service providers, and businesses can apply to become vendors, subject to approval and verification.

Why do I need to pay for a Vendor Access Permit?
The Vendor Permit is a digital product that grants access to vendor features on KolaboFort. The permit fee filters out “unserious” people and scammers. It covers the cost of your background verification and gives you access to a premium pool of clients who are ready to pay for quality work.
Why is KYC (ID Verification) mandatory?
To protect our community. Verified vendors earn 300% more trust than unverified ones. It also protects you because it shows you are a serious professional, making clients less likely to try and cheat you.
Why should I use a real photo of my face?
Trust is visual. Clients feel much safer hiring someone they can identify. It prevents confusion during physical meetups and significantly increases your booking rate.
Can I offer both products and services?
Yes. Vendors can list physical products, digital products, rentals, and services, depending on platform policies and category guidelines.
Is it free to list services/products on KolaboFort?
Yes. KolaboFort provides two (2) free listings. Subsequent listings are charged based on the number of listings as packages.
How am I protected from “Payment Stories”?
With our Escrow system, you never have to “beg” for balance. Before you even start work, the client must fund the Escrow. Once you finish a good job, the money is already there waiting for you.
How do I get paid?
Once a transaction is completed and confirmed, funds are released to your KolaboFort wallet. You can withdraw earnings using using the request withdrawal feature on your dashboard.
What if a client refuses to pay after I finish the work?
If you have provided the service as agreed in the chat, KolaboFort will release the funds to you even if the client is being difficult. Our dispute team uses your “Proof of Work” to protect your hustle.
What happens if a dispute is raised against me?
KolaboFort will review communication, delivery proof, and transaction details. Funds remain secured until the issue is resolved fairly.
What is the KolaboFort Business Directory?
The KolaboFort Business Directory is a free listing feature that allows local businesses to gain online exposure on the KolaboFort platform. It helps customers discover businesses, view their profiles, and contact them easily.
Who is the Business Directory for?
The directory is designed for:
- Local businesses
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Service providers with a physical or local presence
Businesses do not need to sell products on the marketplace to appear in the directory.
Is it really free to list my business?
Yes! Basic listing is 100% free. You can add your business name, category, and basic contact details so that customers searching on KolaboFort (and Google) can find you.
What features are available for free listings?
Free business listings include:
- Business name and category
- Basic location information
- Limited business description
- Basic contact information
- Public visibility in the directory
How does a business appear in the directory?
To list a business for free, click on the “Enroll a Business” tab on the top menu and provide the basic details of your business in the provided for. After submitting, our team would list your business and it will appear in the directory.
To have full control of the business listing and add more information, you can claim the business with a one-time fee.
Can I list more than one business?
Absolutely. If you own multiple businesses (e.g., a laundry service and a catering business), you can create separate listings for each to maximize your reach.
What is the difference between a “Directory Listing” and being a “Vendor”?
- Directory Listing: Primarily for online exposure. Customers find you and contact you directly. It’s like a digital billboard.
- Vendor: For those who want to use the KolaboFort Escrow system to get paid securely within the marketplace.
However, you would need to complete your KYC verification and purchase the Vendor Access Permit to have access to these features or list your business directly.
Can I have a business in the directory and still sell service/products as a vendor?
Yes. You can:
- Have a business(es) listed in the business directory
- Claim the business(es)
- Be a vendor and sell services/products on the KolaboFort markeplace.
What does it mean to “Claim” a business?
If your business is already listed or you want to unlock its full potential, you can “Claim” it for a small, one-time payment fee. This proves you are the rightful owner and gives you administrative control over the business listing. It unlocks additional features and customization options.
What are the benefits of a “Claimed” (Paid) Listing?
A claimed listing transforms your basic entry into a powerful marketing tool:
- Verified Badge: Instant trust for potential customers.
- Full Gallery: Upload high-quality photos of your products or workspace.
- Direct Leads: Customers can message or call you directly from the page.
- Priority Ranking: Claimed businesses appear at the top of search results.
- Social Links: Link your Instagram, WhatsApp, and website directly.
- Customer Reviews: Enable and manage reviews to build your online reputation.
Do I need to pay every month?
No. Unlike other platforms that charge monthly subscriptions, the fee to claim your business is a one-time payment. Once you’ve claimed it and passed verification, the listing is yours.
Is claiming a business listing mandatory?
No. Claiming is optional. Unclaimed listings remain visible but have limited features and cannot be fully managed by the business owner.
How does KolaboFort verify claimed businesses?
When claiming a business, KolaboFort may require:
- Account verification
- Proof of ownership or association
- Contact verification
This helps protect customers and prevent false claims.
Can someone else claim my business listing?
KolaboFort has checks in place to reduce fraudulent claims. If your business was claimed incorrectly, you can contact support for review.
How do I contact a business in the directory?
For free listings, you will see basic contact info on the listing page. For Claimed/Verified businesses, you can use the “Call” or “Message” buttons directly on their page for a faster response.
Are businesses in the directory “Verified”?
Only businesses with the Verified Badge have been vetted. We always recommend looking for the badge before making commitments. For the highest level of safety, check if the business is also registered as a KolaboFort Vendor.
Can I leave a review for a local business?
Yes! Sharing your experience helps the community. You can leave ratings and comments on any business profile to help others make informed decisions.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major Nigerian debit cards, bank transfers, and specialized secure payment gateways.
Are my payments secure?
Yes. All payments are processed securely and protected through KolaboFort’s escrow-style system.
Are there hidden charges?
No. Any applicable fees or commissions are clearly stated before you complete a transaction.
How long does it take to get my money as a vendor?
Once a client confirms the job is done, the funds are released to your wallet. You can request a withdrawal from your wallet if your money is upto NGN10,000 and the funds would be sent to the provided account details. Our payment processing is done every 2nd and 16th of the month. Please ensure that the account name matches the name with your KolaboFort account.
How do you handle my data?
Your privacy is critical. We use bank-grade encryption to protect your data. However, we reserve the right to share data with security agencies in cases of proven criminal activity or fraud.
How do I report a problem?
You can report issues directly from your dashboard or contact KolaboFort support through the help center.
How do I open a dispute?
Go to your Order Dashboard, select the transaction, and click “Open Dispute.” You will be asked to provide evidence (screenshots of chats, photos of work, etc.).
Can a bad review be removed?
We only remove reviews that are proven to be false, defamatory, or part of an extortion attempt. Honest feedback—even if it’s 1-star—stays to keep the marketplace transparent.
How long does a dispute take?
Resolution time varies based on complexity, but KolaboFort aims to resolve disputes as quickly and fairly as possible for both the vendor and the client.
